** Always carry an extra onesie with you when you have a nursing baby (and a plastic bag or two)! **
My favorite experience with this was when I took my 3 youngest kids with me to a store about 20 minutes away. My baby was just a couple of months old and when we came out of the store and I was loading the kids into the car I noticed that the baby had the buttermilk, messy diaper smell. I took her out of her car seat to change her and noticed that the diaper had leaked all the way up the back and sides of her clothes. Luckily I had a diaper, lots of wipes, a clean onesie, and a couple of plastic bags with me so I could clean up the baby and make it home with the mess mostly contained.
