** Kids love checklists! **
Whenever I am going to be gone from the house for a little while I will leave checklists for my kids to do while I am gone. They love being able to check things off as they accomplish things and they love knowing that once they are done with their list, they can play.
Checklists also work great when packing for a trip. I will give each of my kids their own lists and even those that don't know how to read yet love to pack their own things and have the older kids help them check things off.
